What’s Made Well, Lives On: The Story Behind
the Randolph x Ben & Erin Napier Collection
Some things are made to be worn. Others are made to be remembered. The best pieces do both.
The Randolph x Ben & Erin Napier collection begins with a simple belief shared by all three names behind it: that when something is made with care, purpose, and integrity, it doesn’t just last—it becomes part of people’s lives.
In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, this limited-edition collaboration brings together two distinct perspectives on craftsmanship and one shared commitment to building things the right way. The result is a collection of frames designed not just to be worn, but to be kept.
Only 250 pieces of each style exist.
Why Ben & Erin Napier
If you know Ben and Erin Napier, you likely know them from Home Town, where they’ve spent years restoring historic houses in Laurel, Mississippi, bringing old spaces back to life with a deep respect for what came before. But their work goes beyond restoration.
At its core, it’s all about preservation. About seeing value in what already exists. About craftsmanship that prioritizes meaning over speed, and longevity over trends.
That philosophy mirrors Randolph’s own approach. For over 50 years, Randolph has built eyewear using the finest materials from all over the globe, with a focus on precision, durability, and timeless design—crafted with the same discipline and intention that has defined American manufacturing for generations.
This collaboration is an alignment of values. Two different worlds—design and restoration—built on the same principle: make things that matter, and make them well.
A Shared Standard of Craft
At first glance, eyewear and home restoration might feel unrelated.
But look closer, and the connection becomes clear.
Both Randolph and the Napiers believe in:
- Craftsmanship over convenience
- Longevity over trends
- Materials chosen with intention
- Details that reward a second look
- Work that is made to last
This shared standard is what shaped the collection. It’s also why every element—from frame design to packaging—was treated as part of a larger story in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary.
Two Frames, Two Perspectives on Americana
This collection is built around two distinct silhouettes, each reflecting the personality and perspective of its collaborator.
randolph Concorde x Ben Napier
Ben’s connection to the Concorde didn’t start with this collaboration—it started years ago, as a frame he has worn and trusted long before it became part of a project. The Concorde has been on many adventures with Ben over the years, so it just made sense.
For this release, it’s been reimagined with subtle but meaningful detail.
Finished in 23k Gold, the Concorde features a new, exclusive Delta Blue polarized SkyTec™ mineral glass lens, defined by a striking blue flash mirrored exterior and a warm tan-brown base view. The result is a lens that feels both technical and timeless with a sepia tinted outlook.
Custom laminated temple tips draw inspiration from vintage bowling pin collars and Ben’s background in woodworking, layered with red, white, and blue detailing that quietly nods to Americana without overpowering the design.
Every pair also includes a custom-designed bandana created with Ben, weaving together references to his craft, heritage, and personal story.
Douglas x Erin Napier
Where Ben’s frame leans into heritage utility, Erin’s approach is quieter—refined, intentional, and rooted in subtle evolution.
The Douglas is an archival Randolph silhouette reimagined in two luxury options:
- 22k Rose Gold, with polarized Vintage Rose lightweight lenses and custom Emerald acetate accents that bring a soft, modern contrast to the frame.
- 22k Chocolate Gold, with polarized Heritage Amber lightweight lenses and custom Jade acetate accents that bring a soft, lightness to the frame.
This frame redesign also introduces one of the most meaningful updates in Randolph history: integrated acetate nose pads, removing traditional nose pad arms entirely for a cleaner profile and improved comfort. It’s a small change visually, but a significant step in how the frame wears and feels. Ladies (and gentlemen) with long hair—we’ve been listening!
Each Douglas also includes a custom handkerchief designed by Erin, featuring a vintage atlas-inspired composition of all U.S. state flowers within their respective borders—created in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary.
WHAT'S MADE WELL, LIVES ON
At the heart of this collaboration is a simple idea.
Not everything needs to be replaced. Not everything needs to change with the season. Some things are worth keeping.
The Randolph x Ben & Erin Napier collection is a reflection of that belief—where craftsmanship meets continuity, and design becomes something that outlives its moment.
It is not just about what is made. It is about what remains, because what’s made well, lives on.
