An American Legacy

Carroll Shelby envisioned a lightweight sports car with European handling and a reliable American V-8. Partnering with AC Cars and Ford, he launched Shelby American in 1962 to build the Cobra. By 1965, Shelby's Cobra dethroned Ferrari, winning the World Manufacturers’ GT Championship—the only American brand ever to do so

Polish-born master machinists Jan Waszkiewicz and Stanley Zaleski immigrated to the U.S. with a shared vision and relentless drive. In 1973, they founded Randolph Engineering—building optical tools by hand before earning a U.S. Military contract to produce battle-tested aviators.
