Randolph Engineering sunglasses are built for a lifetime of looking through your unique perspective.
Each pair of Randolphs are made with responsibly sourced materials and assembled by hand on American soil. We search the world over for the best partners to ensure our highest quality standards are not only met but exceeded for luxury sunglasses that last.
Mazzucchelli is our partner in producing state of the art acetates with superior chromatic patterns. These patterns offer soft luxury and pair perfectly with Randolphs. The Italian company shares our same family-oriented, responsibly sourced and artisan values. We’re proud of working together to create stunning aviators.
Mazzucchelli Acetate: Cotton, Powders & Rollers
Since 1849, Mazzucchelli has created much of the best acetate in the world.
This material is derived from cotton and turned into cellulose acetate, a transparent raw base for adding color. The colors are applied with organic powders and repeatedly sent through rollers for the desired thickness. Each time an acetate sheet is made, technicians save a sample in order to recreate the pattern later. All Mazzucchelli acetate goes through this repetitive weeks-long process in order to achieve the desired color patterns.
And then they’re ready for Randolphs. All Randolph frames feature Mazzucchelli acetate temple tips for a smooth wearing experience, but some styles take this material even further.
Randolph’s Fusion Collection
Randolph sunglasses are unrivaled by other sunglasses brands thanks to the attention to detail. Our aviators are created with proprietary lens technology, jewelry-quality frames and then inlaid with rich, premium acetate to top them off.
The Fusion Collection debuted in 2016 to provide our fans with a style enhanced for comfort and fashion taste. Each frame in the Fusion Collection is hand-inlaid with Mazzucchelli acetate around the lens and in a variety of color patterns.
