Intruder in 23K Gold with Gray Glass Lenses

Built To Military Standards

We wanted to make a difference. Leave a mark. Be proud of something. So in 1978, we joined forces with the U.S. military to produce the HGU-4/P Aviator for fighter pilots. Each Aviator is built to strict guidelines of MIL-S-25948 standards, a 20-page document detailing the most complex manufacturing specs around.

Guaranteed for a lifetime. Or two.

Built to a higher standard using the world’s finest materials, we stand by each pair of frames we make. So much so, that we offer a lifetime warranty. Take them with you around the world, and back again.

23K Gold and Other Premium Metals

The same precious metal finishes found on the world’s finest timepieces are layered on at up to 5x the industry standard.

Super impressed with this purchase. I bought the Intruders as general wear sunglasses after I bought a pair of Rangers for shooting. I have a narrow face and the 58mm lens size may be just a touch wide but they are still super comfortable and light. You can barely feel them on your face. Love the quality of the product and now I'll be saving up for a pair of Aviators.

I was skeptical about the price, but so glad I took advantage of discount offered during holiday. The craftsmanship, style and weight, not to mention durable case and repair kit are well worth the investment. I am looking forward to investing soon in another pair.

My first designer pair, the Oliver Peoples Benedict 59. These sunglasses were pretty much like the aviator but a bit smaller. Recently they have just been too uncomfortable for me to wear due to the temple being dislocated after giving a hug. So at that time the quest began for a new pair of shades.

I've had numerous cheap sunglasses (like from Wal-Mart and Kohls) but ever since my OPs, I wanted to get another designer pair. I chose not to go with OP because I was not going to shell out a big chunk of cash for sunglasses. I looked for square aviator designs and then came Randolph Engineering Aviator. It was a video I saw and instantly had to have these.

I ordered them without a thought but when they came in, I didn't like how they looked on my face…I then went through the Concorde and again, I did not like the way they looked…so I ordered these Intruder shades. I must say delivery was fast (just like the previous ones I've ordered) and everything about the frames just scream out strength. I could drop these or hug someone and not have to worry about them, I know they are built to last and made here in the 50 stars, just pure amazing.

They have a nice shape and very much like a square aviator. I got the 23k Gold version and cannot be happier. $179.00? Should be $240…I mean it comes with a case, cleaning cloth, and box….which is pretty standard but….since when do sunglasses come with its own maintenance kit? Nose pads, screws, and a keychain that contains the tools necessary to handle your shades? Now that's value.
