At Randolph, we make sunglasses for the extraordinary, for those who demand the best and nothing less. Classic styles, tested by time, handcrafted in the USA. We caught up with model and singer-songwriter @AnnaDaleyYoung to get to know more about her style, upcoming projects and how she wears her Randolph sunglasses.

Welcome!

Hey Anna, it’s great to see you! Some of our followers might already recognize you from our social media. Can you introduce yourself?

Hi! My Name is Anna Daley Young. I am 22 years old and I was born and raised 20 minutes south of Boston in a town called Weymouth, Massachusetts. I am a model and a professional Singer-Songwriter coming out with my Debut album this year!

How did you discover #MyRandolphs?

You’re very local to Randolph then! How long have you been wearing Randolphs, and how did you first discover our brand?

Living only about 15 minutes from Randolph Mass, I have known of the brand for about 10 years. My dad, who is also a fan of the company/glasses, took me to Randolph to show me the headquarters when I was a little girl. I got my first pair of Randolphs when I was 11 as a gift but It wasn't until October of 2021, 10 years later, when I was confirmed to model for Randolph Engineering that I was able to sport a pair professionally! When I first read the confirmation email from my agency I couldn't believe it. I ran downstairs to tell my mom and dad. It was divine timing because we had just seen on the news the day before that Biden had given a pair of Randolphs to a friend while sporting a pair of frames himself! It felt like a dream come true to be a face of such an iconic, all-American brand.

Tell us about your music!

That’s so awesome! Clearly, it was meant to be. You mentioned a debut album, how long have you been making music?

I have been writing songs since I was a little girl, but consistently for the past 3 years. It wasn't until I was about 18 that I gained the confidence and skill to compose and write my first professional structured song called “Fall”. At 19 I played it for a manager who really believed in me and helped me see through my potential, and with more practice, I wrote 20-30 more songs on my own. So by the time I turned 20, I was ready to start recording my debut album. “Go My Own Way”. Coming out this year!

What do you do for fun when you're not on stage?

Ok, so when you’re not writing new music, or modelling, what do you do for fun?

My family, boyfriend, and friends are all very important in my life, they all support me by coming to my gigs and singing my songs. So for fun, I love spending time with them. In the summer we go to a campground down the Cape called “Maple Park”, where we chill by the lake, dance, paint rocks for our rock garden, and roast s'mores by the campfire.

To relax, exercise has kept me feeling healthier and more aligned with myself. It gives me mental momentum for the rest of the day to check off my goals on my to-do lists. I prefer to walk, jog or bike ride outside. The fresh air recharges me and gets my blood flowing for the day. I think exercise is essential for any type of success.

Tell us about your style.

Absolutely, exercise is such an important part of physical and mental health. Let’s talk about your style, you have a unique way of putting your wardrobe together. When it comes to fashion, what is most important to you?

I consider myself an old soul, so trends from the 60s and 70s are my go to. I love the mixing of patterns and just weird stuff that seems like it shouldn't go together but you just rock it anyways.

The hypnotic- hippie style is where I feel most myself. I don't keep up with trends, I'm more so trying to bring back a style that got lost along the way. As an artist I'm constantly expressing myself and clothing is a huge part of how I feel and how I radiate, I think you can tell alot about a person by what they're wearing, and I love when I can send a message through appearance, it's a power.

How do you style your sunglasses?

We've seen you wearing your Randolphs in a variety of locations and looks, how do you style your sunglasses?

I style my Randolph's 2 different ways, I either where them with with a bright colored top and my hair down and wavy for a more fun and free look, or, I style them more sporty, with my hair in a ponytail and a black fitness outfit.

Tell us something unique you've done wearing #MyRandolphs

Both great looks! Can you share with us one unique thing have you done while wearing your Randolphs?

One unique thing I've been able to do with my Randolphs is pair them with my stage outfits! If I'm right, I think I'm the first musical artist to wear them to gigs and have them be my signature stage frames! For the past few months I have been rocking the blue Thadens, but my new black and gold aviators are on the way. I can't wait to wear them on stage with a black leather jacket!

Have you seen any extraordinary sights wearing your frames?

Not many people can say that Randolphs are their go-to stage shades! Are there any particular extraordinary sights have you seen through your Randolphs?

Over the Christmas of 2021, me and my family jetted off to the island of Antigua. A beautiful small island in the Caribbean. In the West Indies, the sun is incredibly powerful, so I was lucky to have my Blue Thadens to protect my eyes. Through my Randolphs, I saw island villages, the deep blue Caribbean ocean, and tall rocky cliffs with mansions on top of them. We played multiple games of volleyball. My Randolphs never once fell off, I was even able to read under the sun with them on!

What makes #MyRandolphs unique?

That’s so awesome! Can you tell us something that makes Randolph sunglasses unique to you?

Before working with Randolph, I had never owned a pair of sunglasses that fit my petite head size. Being able to be on the move while still having a pair of glasses that is secure to my head is a huge win for petite people across the states. Most companies make glasses 1 adult size, which unfortunately doesn't fit all. Randolph offers different size variations and fits for adults so that they can fit the needs of all shapes and sizes. What makes Randolph unique is that every pair of sunglasses is personally engineered with care by a specialist and all glasses are a work of art someone laid their hands on.

Thank you, Anna!

Absolutely, every pair of our frames is handcrafted in a process that takes around 6 weeks and 240 hours to complete. Thank you so much for sharing your story with us, Anna! We’re looking forward to seeing more from you!

Thank You to Randolph for shining light on the people who wear their frames and giving their customers a chance to use their voices. Randolph’s are my favorite sunglasses and I am so grateful to be a part of the brand! Be sure to follow my journey and keep up with release dates for the album!
