Randolph Engineering Debuts New Rx Sun Program

Randolph Engineering announces Randolph Rx, a new original equipment Rx program for its Made in America sunglasses. Available in digital HD SkyOne™ single vision and SkyPro™ progressive lens technology, the new Randolph Rx program offers the best of both worlds: Randolph signature frames combined with the company’s proprietary lens designs, all customized to fit a patient’s prescription needs.

“We are excited to offer our ECP’s an Rx program that allows them to put their patients in authentic Randolph lenses,” says Peter Waszkiewicz, president and CEO.

Rx Sunglasses: Offered to Eye Care Professionals via VisionWeb

The program — which features eight signature tints in polycarbonate and Trivex in polarized and non-polarized options, and 13 Rx frame styles — is available through VisionWeb direct to the Randolph Rx lab. SkyOne™ and SkyPro™ lenses reduce blur and distortion to deliver personalized power where it is needed most. The HD digital back-surface technology expands the field of view, and utilizes each patient’s PD, fitting height, and Rx to automatically optimize the entire prescription for a customized fit and overall visual clarity.

Available in a wide power range, all Rx lenses include Randolph’s exclusive Vector™ Optical Quality Multi-Layer Premium AR Coating, and Blue Wave™ Blue Light and HEV Management for improved visual acuity. Each Randolph Rx is warranted to meet and exceed all global standards for prescription lenses.

According to Todd Butsch, national sales manager, “This launch enhances our commitment to the US optical market, while giving our ECP partners streamlined access to the best quality lenses we can provide.”

Located just outside of Boston, Mass. since 1973, Randolph is a family-owned and operated American eyewear company. With a process that takes over 200 steps to complete, each frame is handcrafted — meeting the standards of the U.S. Department of Defense, pilots, naval aviators and astronauts. Randolph offers a diverse range of eyewear, including metal and acetate sunglasses, Rx eyeglasses and the Ranger brand of performance eyewear.
